The show surrounding the dysfunctional group of friends from Runcorn were everyone’s guilty pleasure back in the noughties.
Running from 2001 all the way to 2011, ‘Two Pints of Lager & a Packet of Crisps’ showed the hilariously accurate look on how 20-something Brits lived in the north of England.
But in a recent post from Will Mellor’s Instagram (who played Gaz Wilkinson), it was announced that it will be returned to our TV’s after popular demand.
In a video he says, ‘Recently since Two Pints came back, it is on at 11 O’clock every night on GOLD, they are showing every episode, people have been messaging me about how much they miss the show and how much it was a part of their growing up. Saying “Please bring it back for a special or do something.”
He laughed and replied ‘Well, I have been listening and reading your messages and I think we are going to get Two Pints special off the ground.’
‘Watch this space, just got to dot the ‘I’s’ and cross the ‘T’s’ and hopefully a Two Pints special will be on the way.’
News of the show’s return has come just after the announcement of the Gavin & Stacey Christmas Comeback.
It’s already been confirmed that Sheridan Smith will NOT be returning for the Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special – Is this possibly the reason?
Let us know your thoughts on the noughties comeback!
