NHS Nurse Blogs about the Importance of Self Care & Beauty Regimes

As the unsung superheroes of our society, NHS Doctors & nurses work round the clock to look after our health not just this year but every single day. From working long hours to unsociable night shifts, many members of healthcare put our health before their own.

Happy Nurses day to all the amazing nurses around the world but most importantly to the amazing ones I get to work with every day ❤(in the pics provided). Includes Christmas and new year obvs 💁🏼‍♀️ • • For anyone that doesn't know. Im a childrens nurse. I've been qualified for 4 years and trained at UWE in Bristol. I'm from Bristol and live and work here. • • The nurses I have had the pleasure to work with have all been amazing and the most inspirational, compassionate and bad ass humans that I know. And some have become my best of friends ❤. • • I love being a nurse. And wouldn't want to ever do any other job. So happy nurses day to all you wonderful nurses. But thank you to all the patients I have had the pleasure of nursing over the years... it's all for you 💛. • • #nurselife #childrensnurse #nurseblog #blogger #blogs #newblog #bloglife #nursesday #nursesarethebest #imanurse #proudtonurse #blog #ilovenursing #bristol #uwe #nurse

It can be extremely difficult to squeeze in a break for meals let alone a beauty regime but NHS Nurse Eloise Heybyrne, explains on social media, how important it is to look after yourself, for both your physical and mental health.

When scraping your hair back for hygienic necessities, to working long hours through the night, your hair and skin can suffer tremendously. Causing dry & brittle hair along with a dull and tired complexion.

But Eloise shows us how to look after yourself when working such a high demanding job and bring some confidence back into an exhausted body.

"As a nurse I know personally how badly night shifts and long hours effects not only our minds but our bodies. Self care for us nurses is SO important. Long shifts, especially nights have a massive impact on my skin and also my hair. I get spots galore, bags under my eyes and my hair just feels gross🤦‍♀️."

"So the amazing @giveme.cosmeticscosmetics #gifted me with these amazing 3 items, just in time for finishing nights and having a lush weekend off😍"

"So firstly I used the eye patches, I left these on for 15-20 minutes, they feel so cool and refreshing and my bags looked SO much better after!"

"Next I tried the Chill Out face mask and this was honestly lush, I lay myself down and left on for 30 minutes, this feels cool on the face and leaves your skin feeling so nice after. The mask and the eye patches post night shift was the ultimate relaxation and refresh time to make myself feel more human again 💆‍♀️"

"And finally, the hair mask. This is argan oil and coconut, omg the smell is unreal! Apply to towel dried hair and leave on for 20 mins. Then dry as normal. This is honestly the best hair mask I have ever used! My hair feels amazing after and looks the best it's ever looked. I'm squeezing as many uses out of this as I can."

"I would highly recommend all 3 of these products, especially to my fellow nurses, having a bit of pampering and you time is vital in keeping you at your best self. In a busy and stressful job like ours these are so easy to use and totally worth the feeling afterwards. I will definitely add these products to my self care routine!
Thanks for your amazing products @giveme.cosmetics"
