Miley Cyrus Speaks Out About Her Split with Husband Liam

‘Nothing Breaks like a Heart’

They were Hollywood’s young love’s dream. After starring in The Last Song together back in 2008, Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth faced a decade of on-off dating and eventually marriage. But sadly just 8 months after tying the knot, the pair decided to pull the plug on their relationship.

A spokesperson for the couple released a statement this weekend to announce the star’s break-up.

‘Liam & Miley have agreed to separate at this time.’

‘Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.’

As the news was announced on Saturday afternoon, the ‘Hannah Montana’ Star was spotted on holiday in Italy, kissing and cuddling recently single, Kaitlynn Carter who broke off her marriage to Brody Jenner just last week.

During August’s edition of Elle Magazine, Miley commented on her marriage with Liam.

‘I think it very confusing to people that I’m married.’ She said, ‘But my relationship is unique. I don’t know that I would ever publicly allow people in there because it is so complex, and modern, and new that I don’t think we’re in a place where people would get it. I mean, do people really think I’m at home in a f***ing apron, cooking dinner? I’m in a hetero relationship but I still am very attracted to women.’

Miley took to Instagram after the news of their split erupted to let the public know in her own words, her thought process behind the break-up.

‘Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win,’ she explained whilst posting a picture of herself posing in front of the peak of the Dolomites, an Italian mountain range. ‘Like the mountain, I am standing on top of, which was once under water, connected with Africa, change is inevitable. The Dolomites were not created overnight, it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed.’

She went on to say. ‘My dad always told me, “Nature never hurries but is always on time”, it fills my heart with peace and hope KNOWING that is true. I was taught to respect the planet and it’s process and I am committed to doing the same with my own.’
