Dig out your eyeliner and your belted chains Sk8r girls because our punk princess is heading back on tour after a long hiatus from the music industry.
Avril Lavigne, now 35, brought us 90’s hits such as ‘Complicated’, ‘When you're gone’ and ‘I’m with you.’
The ‘Sk8r Boi’ hitmaker will be commencing her first world tour in 5 years, ‘Head above water’ and has confirmed 2 dates in the UK, London & Manchester.
Recently the Punk rock girl has been touring the US with her new album and it’s safe to say, her comeback has gone down a treat.
Speaking to Live Nation, Avril said, ‘We had the most amazing time performing on the US ‘Head Above Water’ Tour! I can’t believe how quickly it went by. Seeing all your faces each night and feeling your energy was exactly what I needed.’
‘I truly missed being up on stage, singing with you and this has brought me so much happiness which is why I’m even more excited to announce that I’ll be taking the ‘Head Above Water’ tour worldwide next year with dates in Europe, Japan, China and Southeast Asia.’
The ‘Girlfriend’ performer took time away from music after she was diagnosed with Lyme Disease, as a result of this, every £2 spent on tickets will be donated to the Avril Lavigne Foundation in order to support those battling with the disease.
Tickets go on sale 9am 18th October and are available on the Live Nation Website.
